I am 86 years old. As a boy in Brooklyn I watched my father play Briscola in a shack filled with Italian cigar smoke and the beautiful sound of Sicilian being spoken. My special treat was to buy a slim bottle of delicious Manhattan Special. I will order some of this heavenly nectar soon and let the memories flood back of the good old days.

Traveled up from North Carolina to New Jersey and while there, hit the Shop Rite and found Manhattan Special on the lowest shelf in the beverage aisle. Thanks to a nice Italian guy who pointed it out and gave me a couple of his secret night caps. Now all I have to do is find a store in North Carolina that has it??? The quest begins!

I grew up watching my dad drink a manhattan special with every meal. He told me all his stories from when he lived in Brooklyn with my pop and grandma, and how this is the "real drink of italians". After I moved out for college, I thought I would never see it again. I found this cute Italian deli in Montclair, NJ who sells it, and my life is now complete 🙂 Manhattan Special is more than just a drink, it's family.

I love your soda. It makes me go back to fond memories of Christmas dinner at grandmas house on Mulberry St in Little Italy. The table was long and the kids sat on one side on the bed in this 3 room railroad apartment while all the adults sat on the other side in chairs. The meal went on for hours and all I remember was this wonderful soda that I only drank when I went to the city. It was so delicous, bottles got passed around all night of it. There was about 25 people shoved into this little apartment but what fun we had. Now its 37 years later and when I take just one sip of it my mind goes like a hundred miles an hour back to my childhood sitting at that table. Please never stop or change this stuff or that memory will never pop back again. Love you Manhatten Special with all my heart Christine

I started drinking Manhattan Special in roughly 1968 when I was 10 years old. My parents were Italian so I guess they didn't think there was anything wrong with me drinking coffee. I used to drink 1 or 2 a day. Only in the last 10 years (I'm 54 now) did I finally figure out why I couldn't get to sleep as a child....Manhattan Special. I love the stuff and drink it every opportunity I get. It's taste hasn't changed a bit. Keep going strong! 😉

I came across Manhattan Special at Pop's in Arcadia, Oklahoma. I am hooked! At first I had no idea what to expect, except a coffee flavored soda - but it was so much more! The pure cane, the sharpness of soda water, and the intensity of the espresso ran across my tongue. It tasted so great! The after taste was even better. Thanks for keeping this great soda alive for over 100 years!

I'm gonna bring you back now. An ice cold Manhattan Special with a knish at Nathan's, or a pastrami on rye from Hy Tulip, or how about with a hot slice from Lenny's pizza or Spumoni Gardens. Or maybe right after a big bowl of vanilla ice cream at Jahn's. Maybe with a hot roast beef sandwich at Roll N Roaster. Either way, Manhattan Special goes with anything you wish.

i grew up in staten island but spent a lot of time in brooklyn with friends, er like coney island and downtown court street. like your manhattan specials, coney was one of a kind but unlike your immortal product, coney isn't what it used to be. fortunately, your wonderful life's elixor lives on. i'm now 68, loaded with wonderful memories, making new ones everyday and still enjoying your superior products. for all those who are looking for the fountain of youth, look no further. one sip of the manhattan special and i'm 16 again, traveling to coney island, riding the mechanical horses and haven't a care in the world. what a way to go!

I have always loved Manhattan Special! After moving to FL, I couldn't find it anywhere. Recently my husband checked a new, small-town grocer & there it was! I was instantly transported back to happy times with my old friends in Brooklyn, where we always had a case of Manhattan Special on ice! Thanks so much for still making it exactly as I remember! Bravo! PS: It also makes an amazing float with vanilla ice cream! Bellissima! Keep up the good work! ;D
