Had a week-long family gathering in Virginia recently, and my NYC relatives brought some Manhattan Specials and bagels for the South Carolina chapter of the family (pizza doesn't travel well). Some old SC neighbors of ours, now living in Virginia, came by to visit. I gave them a bottle of my precious liquid delight as a present. They emailed me: "I am now officially addicted after only one half bottle. Delish! Thanks!"

I do not like iced coffees or cappucinos. I am a die hard coffee drinker. A few months ago I was visiting friends in Charlotte, NC and we went to an Italian grocery to get some canolis. I saw the bottles of Manhattan Special Espresso Coffee Soda. I love espresso, so I bought a bottle to try it. I didn't think I would like it because it was cold. Surprise!! I loved it and went back to by a case to take back to Ohio! Haven't located it here, yet but I'm still looking. It's now my favorite drink!!!

I grew up in NJ in an Italian family and it seems that whenever we had pizza we had Manhattan Special. I absolutely love the original espresso soda. Understand this, I hate soda, I very rarely drink it. There is only one exception; Manhattan Special. I would drink it like water if I could. I live in WI now and have not been able to find it anywhere. So this Thanksgiving while visiting family in Jersey I picked up 3 cases. I am good for at least 72 days. Please make it available in grocery stores in WI; I shared some with my coffee drinking friends in WI and they love it.

I have found your Manhattan Special to be a fond reminder of growing up in New Jersey. As a child, our Sundays included visiting grandma in New York City where she always had a plentiful supply of Manhattan Special soda and fresh baked goodies. Now, as an adult and living in Wisconsin, I sometimes need a small reminder of what life was like during my simpler childhood days. Your soda, paired with a nice selection of Italian pastries, brings back those memories and allows me to share them with my Wisconsin friends and family. Thank you for assisting me in continuing my traditions. My grandma would be very proud of you.

There is not another product on the market like this one. My husband has tried them all and none compare. I am always having family in the NY/NJ area ship it to us or I am placing orders directly myself. My husband has been drinking this since he was a kid in Brooklyn and checks out every "authentic" Italian market in whatever city we're living in and none carry this. I even sent it to Afghanistan when he was deployed! It would be nice to see your product on grocery shelves across the US. Just looking at the bottle makes my husband smile 🙂

I am a long time fan. As a kid in Brooklyn back in the 1960's my mom and I would have impromptu picnics in the local park. We would go to an Italian deli and get a submarine on crusty bread, a slice of apple pie each, and each of bottle of Manhattan Special espresso soda. Manhattan Special is part of a warm nostalgic memory for me.

I'm a self-proclaimed soda connoisseur. Over the past several years i've managed to try nearly 500 different sodas from all around the globe, but up until a few months ago there was a very noticeable gap. That's where Manhattan Special comes in. After rave reviews from friends, I had been searching for MS for a year or two. Every time I thought I had a lead, it wound up being nothing. Well, I was at an international farmers market in Doraville, GA and what do I find in the Italian section? A familiar, yet elusive logo: Manhattan Special. And lots of it. Several different flavors and sizes. What a dream come true! So after all of the hype, what's the verdict? The sarsaparilla is easily in my top five of all root beer / birch beer / sarsaparillas and the black cherry is one of the first cherry sodas that actually tastes predominately like cherries. Excellent, excellent, excellent.

About a month ago I stumbled upon your Espresso-Coffee soda at a country market style grocery store in Eastchester, N.Y...I have to admit that I hesitated at first in making my 1st Manhattan purchase, as I had never paid 1.59 for a 10 0z. bottle of soda... But I bought one bottle that day, and all I can say is (1)Coca Cola is officially down 1 lifetime consumer and, (2)I'll take on a 2nd job if necessary to keep my refrigerator fully loaded with Manhattan Special! I am sipping a 10oz Manhattan Special as I write this and I wanted to share a few nice things about this product. My mom reminisces about meeting my grandfather at the train station after work when she was a young girl, and he'd greet her with an ice cold Manhattan Special they would enjoy together on their walks home. As a little girl, I heard such wonderful, simple stories told fondly by my mother every time she would treat herself to this truly special beverage. The dark color of the liquid, the thick glass bottle, the warm aroma, the amorous couple depicted on the label- these qualities stick out in my early memory and denoted this soda as a truly adult choice of beverage. I thought of it as a right of passage when one day my mom bought me my own bottle. She and my grandfather both through example taught me that when you have something nice to say, share it. Thank you, Manhattan Special, for keeping so many fond memories alive with your wonderful products.

...i have been drinking and loving Manhattan Special coffee soda since i was a kid...either here in my hometown of Lyndhurst NJ or in Manhattan or in Brooklyn. Always ordered one with my sanguiche at my local Salumeria. I always have enjoyed the deep rich true coffee flavor of Manhattan Special and the tremendous New York tradition it represents. An old friend who grew up in Williamsburg always told me of the intense aroma of the espresso brewing constantly on the streets around Manhattan Avenue near the factory when he was growing up. The best thing is drinking an icy mug on draught over at Ferdindo's Foccaceria on Union Street in Carroll Gardens...

Im 46 and the first time I remembering having Manahattan Special was some 40 years ago at my Aunt's moms apartment on Carrol Street. She owned the Candy store on Union and 5th ave in Brooklyn, "United Cigar Store". She would have Saint Anthony's day at her home with all the sanit statues, candles the loaf's of twisted bread like a big knot the priest to bless everything and a tub filled with ice stuffed with Manahattan Special. Still today I cant seem to get my mouth over it fast enough so not to get it up my nose. LOL

Here with FEMA since November, working on your recovery from Sandy, starting in Breezy Point and ending up in Mineola by way of Staten Island, Long Beach and Fire Island. Stumbled into Gemelli's Deli in Babylon on the way to the room after a day in the 20's with a 40 mph wind and bought a 10 oz Original, and did so every night I worked on the island. I hope I can find this out of this world treasure when I go home. Thank you for the privilege of serving, New York. MLD

Cassi Patterson shared one of her gift pack Espresso Soda's and Wow! What a unique and awesome treat! Now I'm going to order some up for my bro's, a coffee junkie who lives in Colorado, who's birthday is coming. He'll be amazed for sure! Thanks for making life a little sweeter!

I`m dedicating this entry to my late uncle Harold Alexander Liebman(HAL).He turned me on to Manhatten Special soda when I was only 4 years old.I remember the day like it was yesterday, sitting in his red 1956 red Mercury Monteray parked in the front of his dry cleaning store. That store was in Queens NY and I lived in Brooklyn. My biggest treat was when he picked me up on Sundays and cracked open a bottle of this awsome coffee soda.I live in Coral Springs Fl. for the passed 27 years and locally Doris Italian Market sells it.They carry both diet and original.G-D bless Doris Market. PS HAL passed at 82 years from a blood infection accidentally self inflected. If not for that he would still be having his 2 MS sodas,a day, as he did for over 65 years.Neil Coral Springs Fl.feel free to contact me for onfo@neilbiker6@yahoo.com

Always loved going to my grandparents for the traditional Italian Sunday dinner down on Lafayette St. in lower Manhattan. The best part of eating, was having a glass of ice cold Manhattan Special. I'll never forget those memorable days.
