at Listorti@cstone.netI'm from NYC and have been living in Virginia since 1993. Everytime I visit the city (which is 3-4 times per year), I would bring lots of Manhattan Special Espresso Coffee Soda back to Virginia with me. Was in the city for the weekend, last weekend...and had an iced cold Manhattan Special while walking around the city. I've finally found a little Italian shop in my town, that sells Manhattan Special. Every coffee shop should sell this product. I should be doing sales in my town! Thanks!Valerie can also be reached at: Listorti

I have been a fan of Manhattan Special for more then fifth years! As a child on the lower eastside of Manhattan it was readily available. After I moved out of the neighborhood I was unable to fine it for a long while. Once I did find it again it was like meeting an old friend. Now I work in Red Hood, Brooklyn were one of our local restaurants has it on tap! It has become a great diet aid for me. The sugar free Manhattan Special is really delicious with no after taste. Its a wonderful way to satisfy my craving for something sweet after dinner or lunch. Thanks Sebastian J. Lamicella can also be reached at: pyrexpeddler@hotmail.com

I've just been reading the guest book. The general consensus seems to be that you need to provide a mail-order service for cases of 10 oz. bottles. I always had a hard time finding it in Manhattan but luckily when I lived on Carroll & Van Brundt in Brooklyn, the corner grocery on Columbia run by Hispanics had it. ...and say, what's the deal with Manganarro's Hero Boy not selling it anymore? (at least the last time I was in there) Someone's gotta lean on them; get rid of that Coke. Do you assist in ad costs with distributors in other cities? The heat index is 110 today. I was dying. I came into the coffee shop in my studio building in Minneapolis, Mill City Coffee, and guess what two bottles were left as a sample for the manager? I bought one right away but they wouldn't sell me the second one because the manager has to try it. That seems silly. Who cares what the manager thinks, all that matters is that the public wants it. Am I right? I don't know who is distributing it now but it sure was a drag when Dom's Specialties stopped a few years ago. Welcome back to Minneapolis. Stay a while. I'll still return to Brooklyn anyway. Julian can also be reached at: hiengrup@eworld3.net

Being raised in Brooklyn, I have many memories of Manhattan Special. The obvious ones are with a hero from Joe's Superette on Smith St. or with a panelle special and a rice ball at the panelle store on Union Street between Hicks and Columbia. However, as my life took a turn in my teens, I also remember sitting in PS 29 schoolyard, getting rid of the previous night's hangover by mixing Manhattan Special with a cup of vanilla ice cream while playing spades for what seemed like days. "I can make three books, maybe four. How many you got?" I moved away from Brooklyn but have recently returned and found that I still have a taste for the best soda in the world. Best of all, my 3- year-old son tried it for the first time about 10 minutes ago and loved it. The two best beverages in the world are soda and coffee. Manhattan Special saw the genius in putting them together. God bless all. Chris Bernucca can also be reached at: cbernucca@aol.com

Born & raised in Coney Island, "Playground of the World", and drinking this product since the 60's. My grandma used to send me to Dick Brago's around the corner for some lemon ice and Manhattan Specials. Whenever I buy a proscuitto and fresh mozzarella hero, I always try to match it up with a bottle of Manhattan Special, and when I'm lucky enough to make the connection, time stops and I'm back in the good old days. I recently visited an italian grocery in Baltimore, and when I asked if they carried MS, the owner told me he'd never heard of it. So what else could I do? I went into the trunk of my car and gave him a bottle. let's face it - it's the brooklyn thing to do! Anyway, keep it coming and keep it sweet and I'll be thinking of you people as I'm pacing the floor at 3am wondering why I drank a whole bottle of MS when I had to get up early for work the next morning. 😉 Stay Well! I just love your MS. I grew up drinking them. I lived on Humboldt St. in Greenpoint but I had family over on the Northside and use to go pass the factory where they were being made just to smell the aroma. Even though I have lived in several different states, whenever I get back to Brooklyn I buy some to bring home. I hope eventually I can order it over the web.
