Ahhh memories of going to the settlement house on Manhattan Ave in Brooklyn & stoppin in to the factory for a fresh bottle.......is the name for the soda originally from the street or the borough?? Anyway 30+ years the same taste!

I grew up in East Harlem in the 1960s and 70s(around the corner from Our Lady of Mt. Carmelschool) and one of my favorite things to eat wasfresh mozzarella (from the latticini on 1stAvenue between 115th & 116th Streets), warmItalian bread from Morrones bakery and an icecold Manhattan Special. That was living! Unlessyou're in an Italian neighborhood, it's difficultto find Manhattan Specials, but I've lucked outand found a couple of places who do sell it.Sal's Beverages - Eastchester, NY, a sodadistributor on 207th Street at the foot of theUniversity Bridge (off of 87 south in the Bronx)and DeCiccio's C-Town - Scarsdale, NY. For thoseof you searching, I hope this helps.

Grew up on MS. My greatest memories are of myDad coming home from the city on Saturdays andbringing a case of MS home with him ( I grew upin Staten Island). It was the smaller bottlesback then. I remember having half of it andputting the top back on so it would last alittle bit longer. Me and my sister would fightover it. Now my Dad has passed and I've movedto Chicago and was just content with having somewhen I came home to see my Mom, until I happenedto come across it on a website that shipsdifferent items. I ordered a case of Diet and Inow enjoy it every morning as a substitute forregular coffee.

If I was restricted to having only ONE caffeinated drink for therest of my life, and I've had many coffees, of every form, inSeattle, New Orleans, San Francisco, and in several differentcities of France, Spain, Morocco, Italy, Greece, Turkey andHolland (and they ALL have great coffees), that special dietespresso soda from Manhattan would be my immediate choice.I first discovered Manhattan Special at Galco's Old World Marketon York in the L.A. area (Glendale or Pasadena?). They have theone of most extensive selection of pops and brews on the WestCoast, so I tried all the weird ones and all the coffees. There area lot of good bottled coffees but Diet Manhattan Special has thebest flavor. The fact that it is diet is a plus but it's the flavor Imainly go with.Since I live in the San Francisco area (Pacifica), it was only when Icould get down there on visits to my grandkids in Glendale (800miles round trip) that pick up a couple of cases. Now they'removing to Colorado and I have to find a new source. Boo-hoo.But Galco's ships, so it's cheaper than driving.

We discovered your espresso coffee soda in a D'Agostino and were really scared yet intrigued to try it. Turns out it's ONE OF THE BEST INVENTIONS IN THE WORLD!! Keep bottling and we will keep buying!:)

I grew-up on Manhattan ave across the street from your bottling plant in the only four storie building on the block. My first soda was a Manhattan Special. I was just home for my 40th birthday and enjoyed a few Manhattan specials while I was in Brooklyn. It was great to see your trucks be loaded up to spread the taste of Manhattan special all over. See you at christmas

I have been drinking Manhattan Specials since I was a teenager in New York, NY. That was over 43 years ago. I was so happy to find it at a small Italian bakery shop in Flemington, NJ. They were kind enough to place an order for me. I now plan to continue drinking Manhattan Specials for a long time to come. Thank you. Antoninette P.

I have been drinking Manhattan Special since I was 2 years old! (My parents wanted to raise me "right"!) I lived in New Jersey for 31 years and drank at LEAST one bottle a week. Now, I have moved to the Allentown, PA area and cannot seem to find it anywhere out here. Every so often, I go back to Jersey to pick up about 20 bottles and bring them back to PA. Don't EVER stop making it! I love it and no matter where I am in the US or the World, I will always find a way to drink Manhattan Special.

Born and raised on Staten Island and now living in Florida. Just can't get enough of Manhattan Special... Hard to come by here, but I grab it by the case when I can find it. Thank you for not changing... We need to keep the Italian tradition going ; ) Dennis

Like so many of you I grew up in Williamburg, Brooklyn (which all of a sudden has become very chic with the younger population of artists and film-makers). I grew up on North 8th Street between Driggs and Bedford Avenues (we called it the North Side). I was about 10 in 1950 and lived next door to a candy store (Carmela and Jim's) and I remember a bottle of MS was 7 cents which unlike many of you I could not afford but was able to buy at least one a week. Wow, 7 cents bought a lot of things in 1950. I am now a farmer in the mid-west but I remember my old neighborhood and someday I hope to visit it again. Thanks for the memories.

I'm not a soda drinker but I LOVE Manhattan Special. I remember drinking it when I was a little girl in Middle Village, NY. Oh what memories it brings back. I'm so glad they haven't stopped making if after all these years. Thanks

I have been trying to get Manhattan Special to buffalo for years. I was forced to move up to buffalo 13 years ago. I grew up on it and remember going to Boody JHS and Lafayette High with on in my hand almost every morning. I only get down to the city every couple of years so it sucks that I cant drink it everyday like in my childhood. thanks M.S. please shuffle off to Buffalo. There are alot of us "City Folk" up here.

I am now 72 years old, my family lived in Greepoint and my uncles and cousins used to play for a softball team sponsored by Manhattan Special, my cousin Jimmy Villoni, my uncles Tony and Jimmy Stavola. Back then if you hit a home run the Passaro family would give you a bottle of Manhattan Special. To this day, I still enjoy the taste and drink it as often as I can. I noted that someone complained about the new label, what counts is what's inside of the bottle. Regards, Sal Blanco
